Cool SS Exhausts - Magnaflow and stock art

I am tired of hearing... cough... not hearing my SS exhaust note. The motor sounds so nice... the exhaust note doesn't match.

These are stock vids.

Magnaflow has something on the docket. #16811

They offer a nice 3" stainless steel mandrel-bent pipe, high flow muffler and a 4" polished tip.

Picked it up on ebay for $420 shipped

They even provide video clips. Certainly there are brands, like Hahn and others. But Magnaflow is a reputable company with a lifetime warrenty.

So I jacked up the car to check out the job.

Decided it was too much of a tight fit on these jackstands. Call up a favor with a mechanic I ride with....

Up it goes on the lift

With his tool set and the lift... we make fast work on the exhaust...

Cut the stock pipe for removal.

Hellowwww

And about 20 mins into the job we're installed

Should make some nice sound...

These are Magnaflow vids.

It sure does sound nice driving and my worry about a drone on the highway was unfounded. The sound is nice and yet mellow on the highway. I love it!

Now what to do with the stock exhaust... hmmmmm

Garage Art?

Used some paper roll packing material from another part to look like exhaust smoke...

Nope, just my stock ultra seat. I roll the street glide seat most of the time when my ultra tourpack is not on the bike. But when I set the bike up from my SG with lowers & aux lights, to full out Ultra style for road trips.

Stree Classic style for everyday around town

Ultra style packed up... this is somewhere between Manistique and St Ignes in the U.P. about 2 weeks ago.

Honestly no. Especially not till the powertrain warrenty is on the car for 5yrs/100k. They can't really say **** about the cat back system so I'll just leave it. The car already hates it's front wheels and wants to destroy them. NO reason to piss it off anymore.

Next on the docket...
custom gauges (already on order)
black out the headlights (already on order for a fast swap)
K&N air filter (just the filter not the overpriced "pro charger" & already have it in the garage)
custom metal turbo tubes (not sure which brand/not ordered and will have to wait on)
