Hello hhr people, love my ss but been to 2 driffernt dealers no one can fix.car gives me the power down then loses power to a stop . happen three time scary on freeway with grandkids in car. its at dealer now but telling me cant find anything wrong. codes are po301,2,3,4

 

Welcome to the site the code you have there are misfire codes for cyl 1,2,3 and 4.

You stated that it happens on the freeway so my first thought is check fuel psi and maybe a compression test to rule out engine problems.

Do you know what the dealer has checked so far?

 

Is your ss stock or does it have the gmtu
Gm turbo upgrade?

 

This is a GM dealer Service Department? I don't believe that is exactly what they said.

Maybe they said "a complete diagnostic to find the problem will cost you money"?

 

I have an SS and I have the PO 1-4 as well. I had a mechanic hook up his scan tool (much more expensive than my scan tool) and it showed the misfire mostly in cyl 4. I then did a compression test and found 4 to be way lower than the other 3. I would give that a try just to rule out that, like Lucky suggested.

JMO.....But I wouldn't bother offering suggestions and help to this OP. According to his profile, he has not returned since he posted his problem 3 weeks ago.

Either had it fixed or doesn't care. Again, just my opinion.
