Time for timing chain replacement

Well, this weekend I got a "stray" P0014 code on my HHR SS (132K miles).

I erased the code and it didn't come back (even as pending).

However, this is an "early warning" that the chain is just loose enough to trigger the code under certain conditions. It will only get worse.

Today I am ordering the CLOYES 94201SAWP from Rock Auto, since it has everything in it for both timing chains. Also ordering a timing cover gasket and a valve cover gasket (in case the old one isn't reusable).

Here is the order:

Am I missing anything? I have done a bunch of 2.4L timing chains, but have not done an SS and don't know if there is something else I should be replacing while I'm at it.

Front cover crankshaft seal.
Don’t forget, the crankshaft sprocket is unique to the 2.0 LNF , Do Not use the crankshaft sprocket in that kit

Are you sure?

Cloyes shows the same part number, and gmpartsdirect also shows same part number for all HHR engines.

Am I reading something incorrectly, or are the web sites wrong?

We had a member a few years ago , the wrong sprocket chewed up his oil pump in the front cover.
at least measure and match it to the original LNF part.

There must be some members here who changed their SS timing setup.

What do they have to say?

I'd rather be wrong now than when the engine dies later.

Oh, yes, I forgot about THE bolt.

I will add one to my rock auto order.

I noted in the ZZPERFORMANCE site, they have an LNF kit and they mention crankshaft gear spacer? So, to be safe please measure the old crankshaft sprocket for the timing chain and the new one, also measure the balance shaft chain crankshaft sprocket, hey! I’m old maybe it was that sprocket was to thick and caused the damage, Im looking through the 2.0 performance threads , yawn it’s nap time!

The SS crankshaft gear is thicker so as to create more clearance for the oil pump.
Watch the cloyes video and an explaination is given
