What parts along with new turbo?

I'm ordering the cheapest turbo on rock auto (almost $500) and wanted to know what other parts I should get along with it. Plan is to rebuild the stick k04 and also see if a new turbo solves a bunch of issues...

So you are throwing the cheapest turbo on it hoping to solve a bunch of issues. Not knowing the issues I don't really know how to answer. You could replace the engine and transmission just to be sure. If that don't work we can maybe do some kind of testing or junk it and buy new. Does this seem drastic? I have ZERO to go on.

There is a coolant and oil leak. Also smoke cloud from exhaust after a decent pull. Lots of oil in the turbo intake. I believe the concensus was that it's the turbo. I've not been able to find a stock oem k04 so I wanted to get a cheap temp turbo and see if solves some problems. Then rebuild the stock k04 if it turns out to be the issue.

Exhaust system gaskets. As you can see, there's no listing for gasket #606. Chances are, you can reuse all the existing gaskets, from all 3 systems. But it's up to you what to replace with new.

Putting a new, strong turbo on that worn out engine is asking for trouble. The increased cylinder pressure when in boost is risking a blown engine.
Several months ago in some of your other threads, it was suggested you either rebuild your engine, get a replacement, or buy a new one.
I suggest you quit the “nickel and dime” treatment and replace the engine.

I might have made the same suggestion FMG. But I just looked at ZZP and eBay and Google shopping. The price of a new engine has almost doubled since I purchased. New LHU was about $2,100 then, now it's around $4,000.

Pay to play is the new normal! There is no more cheap deals as these cars get older the more money you pay for parts! And shipping and labour, if you’re not handy.
