if they don't make them, just paint them yourself. I did my calipers yellow over x-mas.

Read a lot of reviews and looked for a lot of information and went with the G2 caliper kit. It worked fantastic. It is a brush on paint, so you don't have to worry about spraying all over. Also, it is a 2 part paint, you mix a reactor into it, so that it has a hardening agent, kind of like an epoxy. Did 3 coats on each side and it looks great. Once it warms up and the hhr has a wash, wax, and all that jazz, i'll have photos.

Duplicolor has a kit too that costs half as much ($17 compared to $36 for G2) but a lot of guys on some car forums weren't as happy and it would start to crack then they would redo it with the G2. Plus if the G2 does crack or peel etc, they'll send you a replacement kit. Just gotta invest more time, took about 3 hours to take it apart, clean it, paint it. and i left it dry for a day and a half.

Painting is what I have been leaning to. I'll will have to wait to spring on that one. I would like to change the brakes to the bigger Brembo's but when I purchased this car I knew it would be my daily driver so I bought the full extended warranty (bumper to bumper 100k/5 year). But from talking with my dealer (when I did the stage upgrade) I was told that GM has been senting memos about mods and invalidating warranty work.

All right, did my research, and just ordered my sway bar. My initial reaction was that a 1" bar in the back was an awful lot of sway bar. That is the same size as the front, and very few cars have the same size front and rear. On the other hand, front drivers tend the be the cars that work best with comparatively more roll stillness in the back. Besides, after having this car for a couple of weeks and getting the chance to drive it harder, it REALLY understeers! (My other cars are both mid-engine sports cars, so the difference was pretty astounding.) We shall see. Maybe I'll start autocrossing the HHR instead of my Boxster....

That was my initial reaction too..but if you do the numbers thing its about right. You have a short width and the rear is already on a torque beam, so its going to take a large bar to make any difference.Plus its not body mounted. The rear bar is actually bigger then the front,,, 27mm to 23mm I believe. Also believe it could stand a bit bigger on both ends for the ultimate setup..I still have that rolly feeling in the corners, though it hangs in there quite well.

OK, installed my TTR rear bar a few weeks ago, and I have to say I am pretty impressed. The HHR is never going to give my Porsche a run for its money handling wise, but the improvement is noticable. I wouldn't mind lowering the car, but that is likely to cause some compromises, especially fully loaded. This is a daily driver, but also the family utility car. Overall, the handling is now among the best in its class, (meaning PT cruiser, Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, etc). Now if I could just get the steering box out of the SS, so the steering wouldn't be geared so slow!

I'm new to the board. I just ordered one of the rear bars for my 08 2LT. We just bought an 09 SS last week and now it's hard for me to drive the LT! The LT is like a sloppy drunk compared to the SS! It's still a million times better than my 70 Super Bee though. Going to place an order for the Cobalt SS springs next!

On another note completely, does anyone know where I can obtain the service manuals for both cars?
