16" Custom Bolt on Covers for High Vent Steel Wheels?

My wife drove our 2010 HHR with a flat the other day, shredding the tire and bending the 17" chrome clad aluminum wheel. And I just put new tires on it last year.

So I'm taking this opportunity to downsize the wheels to the 16" five spoke steel high vent with the bolt on covers..... And actually get some much needed sidewall on the tires - I'm going to 215/60R16 (rather than the 55 series) which appear to fit based on experience on the boards.

What I haven't found are any aftermarket covers that take advantage of the wheel design to offer up a unique look. Has anyone seen or purchased such a thing? Maybe not enough demand between HHR and Mailibu? Such an opportunity to create a custom look and finish for low cost, but my google searches are coming up empty.

Not a lot of choices but go to www.ebay.com and put Chevy HHR Chrome Wheel Covers in the search box.
Make sure you get the right style covers for your 5 spoke wheels.

If only you had the 18 hole "Steelies", I've got a nice set of wheel covers that I used on my panel to replace the standard LS wheel covers, you could have them for the cost of shipping.

But I just don't think they'd work on the five spoke "Steelies" without flying off.

If you'd be interested in seeing them, I can post up a photo of them later today.

Yea, I "think" I see a few on eBay - hard to tell, as they are not listed very clear in regards to whether they are for the high vent steel wheels. Covershield seems to have a few - but of course they are 5 spoke (a requirement) and either chrome or a painted aluminum look - so they essentially look just like the 2 OEM options.

This will be a car for my teens, so was looking for something that could provide a more custom look - i.e. a black/matte finish maybe.

I've been a product manager for a vehicle manufacturer, and this style was promoted as a way to easily change the design, so I'm disappointed I can't really find any aftermarket options that make it look different than the OEM look.

Anyone know offhand if the 06-08 Mailibu 16" high vent steel wheels have the same offset/bolt pattern? I believe they do....

there were a set of 17 inch Malibu rims for sale so I believe the will fit, same bolt pattern.

Here's a thread on what GM rims fit the HHR.....
