Question 20" wheels with a 5x115 pattern on hhr

i was thinking of getting these wheels from a friend, for 575 with the tires.. the rims are 20x8.5" and tires 255-35-20...

i know the tires are too wide, i work at a tire shop, and i can get 225-30-20 for like 90each...

the thing i was wanting to know was if the 225-30-20 would be ok with a 5x110 to 5x115 wheel adapter.. we get them at 190 shipped to our door (4)

the wheel is a limited 357 "blade"... not sure offset but all i know is it has a high offset for fwd cadillac

So you want to run a 20" wheel on adapters on a FWD car?

I'd say no.

you can do it

you can probably do it , i'm not totally sure they will clear......but , why ? for that price + the price of some good adapters you can find the correct bolt pattern.....i got some adapters to put on my mustang , but i paid only 1/4 of what you plan on spending for wheels , tires and adapters.....yes , i got an unbelievable deal....if you be patient and keep looking you probably can also...i know , patience is not always easy

I have adapters on my HHR. However, the wheel offset dictates whether or not adaptersare "necessary". Adapters are usually 1.25" wide, which is equivalent to a -32MM difference. Being that the needed offset for the HHR is approximately a +38MM, to take that away would leave you with a net difference of a +6mm offset. A +6mm is a rear wheel drive offset and that would extend the tire's sidewall outward too far. If you like the wheels and the offset is correct then they could be redrilled and inserted to fit properly. if you need more info on redrilling wheels PM me and I would be more than happy to provide you with the needed info.

P.S. My wheels are a +56mm offset less the wheel adapater -32MM equals a net difference of a +24MM. That's +12MM more or so then what the HHR came stock with which equates to approximately 1/2" more positive offset.
