205/60/15 on an SS?

Would that tire size fit on a non-Brembo SS? I was looking at this as as winter wheel set. The Tirerack has a similar set but they're 16" vs 15" and twice the amount of the 15" set. Can I run that size safely on the SS for the winter, and would that clear the rear discs? The 15's se would be coming of a standard HHR BTW.

I bought a set of the 16" steel wheels with 205/60 General Altimax Arctics for winter. They fit fine. I don't know if 15s would fit, and I can't think of at cars I have access to that have 15s.

Hence my question. If they're too small I'll wind up getting the 16's.

I didn't know a 15 would fit an HHR (any of them) but did see that classified for the snows, I guess if he had them on his they should...... From what I've read an non-brembo SS has the same brakes as the standard HHR in front and the back discs are the same size as front.

All in all I think you would want at least a 16" rim on there though, even if a 15 would fit.

I'd have to say that as of right now, I'd have to (reluctantly) agree Greybeard. I know they'll fit in front since non Brembo SS' have the same discs/calipers as regular LT1'S or LT2's; My concern is clearance in the back w/ my disc brakes.

I don't think 15s will fit. I have run 16" drag radials on mine and the first time it wasn't centered perfectly and the caliper was hitting the stick on weights inside the wheel.

Sam's Club has BF Goodrich TA 205/60/15 on sale for $59+ /tire. I just bought a pair for the fronts for my 87 Pontiac Fiero GT.

I have 205 60 16 blizzaks for the winter, I think they are the same size as the focus so they are a little cheaper than the HHR size.
