Has anyone here used 245/50/16's on an HHR? Wondered if they would clear.

 

with the correct offset rims they should fit.

 

I run 245/45/17 on my SS with the brembos and cobalt ss/na 17x7 rims. I don't think youd have a problem if you had the right offset and wider rims. The 245/45/17s bulge quite a bit on 7" wide rims and were difficult to say the least to mount. Granted I'm running a tire with a very stiff sidewall...

I also have 245/40/18s on my stock 18x7.5 SS rims and they clear just fine.

I think 235/50/16 would be ideal but almost nobody sells them, could only find Michelin.

 

X2 on the 235/50/16 being ideal....... I can't find them either.

 

I guess the reg HHRs are a little different. I wish I could get some 255/40/18s but they are hard to find used, which is how I like to get cheap tires lol. 245/40/18s and 245/45/17s make my speedo off by about 1mph above what I'm actually going, which puts fake miles on my car haha.

 

Also, looking into 245/50/R16s, what ever came of this?
