Anybody tried 255/40/18 tires on stock SS rims

Anybody tried 255/40/18 tires on stock SS rims

Time for tires and I'd love a little more width. Unfortunately, to keep the rolling diameter at 26" that means going to a 255/40/18. Anybody tried that size?

I couldn't find any 255s for cheap, I have 245/40s on stock wheels and 245/45/17s on 7" ss/na wheels. if I can get the 245s on the 7" rim I'm sure 255s can fit on the 18x7.5.

Discount Tire says they will fit. I'm going to look into that size when it's time to buy tires.

Are you running the 17"s with the Brembo brake package? I've been wondering about caliper clearance? Thanks for the feedback.

The 17x7 cobalt SS/NA's clear the brembos(same as 08-10 sports) they look like 17" ss/sc cobalt rims. They are heavier and look worse but they clear. Theres about a business card of clearance.
