that sounds high for 4 Nexens to fit an HHR. As a regular tire I don't have much to say about them, but as a performance tire they are one of the worst out there

I don't need high performance tires. Being in NC I drive in snow maybe 3 days a yr. I use my SS as my daily driver. You think I can get a good set of 18"s for less than $450?

I run the nitto neo gens and love them. The tread design makes a little more noise than the stockers. If you are in an area with alot of rain these are the wy to go. If not i would go with the 555s

I was told on saturday that the GT Eagles cup out after about 15k. Any truth to that? Also, heard they are a very loud tire.

Had nexen n5000 on my cobalt sssc for over a year and put around 20000 on them with plenty more tread left. As far as handling they were ok but wouldn't reccomend them for more than your average spirited driving. Had the Goodyear eagle gt before that and those were great. Out handled the stock pirellis but wore weird cause I was lazy and didn't rotate them on time

Also cupping would be caused by having the wrong tire pressure

I ran them for about 27k. I would buy another set if I could afford it.
They were great tires. Other than the tread wear.

If you have anyquestions don't be afraid to ask!

I just wish they didn't cost so much!

I STRONGLY recommend the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. I just had a set put on and they are amazing, plus there's a 50k mile tread warranty!

Glad you found the solution. I liked them too, would like to know where you found them for 450 ?
