Question Black Chrome Rims?

Well, I thought I had found the perfect rims for my car. XXR 522 in Chromium Black. 18x8.5 35mm back spacing. I was going to run 255/35R18's on them, after doing a little more research and a finalized call to the manufacture to confirm a typo on a sight that they do NOT make them in a 5-110 pattern, it was a typo, I thought it was odd that Wheelfire.com was the only people that would carry them in a 5-110 bolt pattern. So now I am searching for a different set of rims to fit the bill. I still want Black Chrome, not chrome or hyper black, had thought about buying some cheap aluminum rims in a 18-8/8.5 width and a 35mm back spacing and having them powder coated to mach my body cars body color, but would really like the Black Chrome as they will look nice with the Black Chrome Grill, Door Handles, and Rear Oplique(sp) that I plan on getting. I would like to stay under the $150 mark especially for ones I will have to get powder coated which is an extra $75 a piece if they dont have to sand blast Chrome off to get the paint to stick, and $100 if they do.

On a side not, can I use the TPMs in my steelies in the new rims or do I need to buy new TPMs as well?

Thank for any help or support.

Yes you can use on new wheels, but if your going to keep factory wheels you may want to buy a set. Best price I found was 27.00 each shipped from TPMS Wholesalers.

as for TPMS. When i changed my wheels, the tire guy went to Chevy parts and got new TPMS valve stems. Some dealer parts sell them separately, some don't. They left the old stems in the old rims and switched over the sensors. Valve stems were if i remember less than $2.00 each.

I have tried them. I saw those, and my biggest hang up with those was they were 7.5" wide rims, which would not allow me to run 245's. I really wanted 8.5" rims so I could run 255's but those are few and far between, and I never did find a set I liked. I have looked around some more, seems the BOSS wheels I was looking at are discontinued because the Black Chrome was defective, BOSS has since discontinued ALL their Black Chrome rims. I am just glad I didnt get a set to have the Black Chrome screw up on me. Needless to say I have given up on the Black Chrome idea, I even researched and found a company that would dip them black chrome at he cost of $175 a rim. I have found some MSR-Wheels Style-044's(from http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com), color isnt important to me as I am planing to have them powder coated to mach my cars paint, also going to use black chrome lug nuts for an accent like the black chrome grill i already have and the black chrome door handles along with the black chrome lift gate part that I plan on getting. The rims look like this.

Ask your powder coat guy if he can do black chrome, mine can for about 125.

you may want to rethink 245s, you might sit out of the wheelwells and kicking up a lot of road debris on your side panels. 1 got 225s and they're just inside my splashguards.
