Continental DWS extremes

Anyone know the back-order status on the Conie Extremes DWS.

Everything about this tire seems great from performance to price point... Can't find them anywhere. I don't want my pilots anymore, although for a stocker they ain't bad.

Anyother "great" tire out there under a Grand?

I looked into those last year and could never find them in the size I wanted. I ended up with the New Goodyear Eagle GT's. THey were a little more than the DWS's. I'm happy with the dry and wet performance.

The Eagle GT's are nice but damn those Connie's have a sexy tread.

I am getting hte DWS's in spring or sooner when my tires are bald. the 540 tread wear makes me smile a bit as I only got around 30k out of the stock ones.

Put the DWS on first great traction, 245's fit nice, but they hydroplaned in deep water, this may not be important to you but here it rains a lot lots of standing water so I switched to the F1's and found they make them a inch wider so 225's fit nice and they will not hydroplane, I've tried, they just won't lift. took them through lots of snow and Ice up in Canada great traction. the carbon fiber in the sidewalls make the ride good and cornering is awesome in the dry. This all surprises me at the price,I've got tires that perform this well on my 740 sport but I paid twice as much for them and only get 35k out of them. The boys over at discount tire just rotated them at 5000 mi and its hard to tell the difference front to back, and I didn't baby them I like to see if my car is still boosting over 20 often its tough on the front tires wish this thing had AWD that would be fun.

AWD would really kill the rotation value of 2wd. but yeah I get what you mean, although a wider tire to me would indicate an easier ability to hydro so I'll look at the F1(Falken?) if what you say is true, we have a nice wide tire but an inch wider would be nice. It comes to this they ain't bald but I need tires. so if i can't wait for the connies, I got to look elsewhere.

Falken 452's are nice tires had a set on my Q45 they dont last long the F-1's are Goodyear F1AS ultra high preformance I ran them hard in the rain we had over an inch today they really handle well and hook up with that STG-1 power well even better after I installed the TRR upper mount.
