So many options, even tho limited by 5x110, not the most common bolt pattern. There are some nice-looking plastic wheel covers that aren’t bad. The classic baby moon look that the 18-hole base steelies cry for is really challenging because nothing will snap onto the middle.

^^. Classic!!! ^^

I keep trying to use black lug nuts; they always rust. Next will be chrome.

Gorilla lug nuts work good.

Yes that's right. How about 15-inch steelies? I'm confident they'll fit the car, just wondering if there's hubcap/rim options for those.

I did see a local beater with 15" steelies. Other than the diameter, they looked identical to HHR's base18-hole 16" steelies. So basically, the same problem with the inability to easily mount baby moons.

I do remember a thread or two here in these forums, maybe ten years ago or so, about making clips to attach VW hubcaps or maybe baby moons, if you what to try to root that out. I also seem to remember some aftermarket steelie with more conventional design that would take hubcaps. That didn't appeal to me because the total cost was just as high as brand-new alloy wheels.

Yeah I remember the VW thread. It's an interesting idea but a little cumbersome. Guess the options really are very limited.
