Deal on wheels ?

Hi All ,

Local guy has a set of Enkei 17" w/ 225-55 tires off a G6 . They'd look pretty 'Charp ' on me panel . $300

Don't think they have the air sensors . Do I really need them ?

Will the tires fit ? They got 30k on them but still have decent tread .

Comments ?

TIA

You don't 'need' the sensors, but the DIC will nag you about bad sensors and the tire warning light will stay on.

The bolt circle is 5x110mm, not sure if the G6 is the same.

EDIT- just looked it up, bolt circle is the same as HHR's

Think I'm gonna go for it . Seems to be a deal , even if I have to put a couple ( hundred ? ) for the sensors .

Solstice, G6, G5 are all 5x110 pattern.

Sensors can be bought for $30 or less each on E-bay.

Hold on there. Those wheels and tires will be about 3/4 inch bigger in the radius. That will be very close to hitting the bottom of the front springs.
You should try a quick test fit on one of the fronts before buying if possible.

I'm running 225/50-17's and have plenty of clearance.

It will be tighter, and a test fit would be a good idea, but if 18's will fit, those should.

I don't think a 225/55/17 will clear under the front strut. The 225/50/17s will clear in the front no problem. I am more used to 18s, but 245/45/18s wont clear but 245/40/18s have no problem.
