That's the only bummer about the big brakes. Spacers are fine, just be sure to check the length of thread on the lug stud. If you have less than 1/2 in. with the wheel in place you'll want to put in longer studs. The stock studs are OK for 1/8 in.spacers but I'm not sure they'll stand any more. Those are nice wheels, and I'd hate to see you pass them up.

5 mm is 0.196850, I think they would work. Me personally, I would waste $15-30 to try the 5mm spacers on the front out before I would dismiss those rims you spent all that money on.

If you decide to go longer wheel studs, let me know and I will tell you what kind you need. The cobalt guys are using ARP Fbody LS1 .510 knurl, but I found some that are ARP .485 knurl, the factory ones are .492 knurl. The ones I found you can tap in with a hammer and there is enough knurl to bite into the hub without them turning at all. If you go with the Fbody LS1 they will have to be pressed in the hub

Glad it all worked out for you, pretty sure most of us were under the impression you had bought them and they didn't fit (at least I was) .
Good call on test fitting them up first
