Real chrome does not get clear coated.

Your rim looks to be Hi-Polished/Clear coated.

hit @ 30mph, I would watch the replacement tire/rim for odd tread-wear pattern, just to be on safe side.

I'd try contacting one of the rim conditioning guys. Many are mobile and come to your house, work place, etc. I've seen some really nice work done by one guy here. Can't even tell. Especially with polished aluminum. They buff with different grits until the desired surface is attained then they polish. Just guessing, but might be about $100.

I would get a wheel alignment, though. The front ends are very temperamental.

Otherwise, however, I'm glad everything ELSE turned out ok.

I did that once in my Lowered 82 S10. Popped two perfectly good BF Goodrich TA radials and had to have both Enkei rims straightened, LOL

"A Little Curb Rash"

Define "little", Eric....... Looks like a pretty solid hit there. Hope it's okay for your drive tomorrow.

The cop probably didn't pull you over because he just spit coffee and donuts all over his dash. (sorry I had to say it)

Last week I did the same thing. Was dropping off mail and close to that new style granite (or whatever) curbing and touched it with both left side wheels. What a sinking feeling! Brand new wheels this year and now they've got a couple dings. Luckly minor, but nevetheless no longer perfect.

There was someone here selling one wheel a while back I believe. I remember because I was thinking: "Why would someone sell just one wheel?" Check the old classifieds.

http://www.searchtempest.com/ searches as much of craigslist as you tell it to.

I use it when I can't find what I want locally.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the "chrome" on these wheels is actually a plastic cover over the wheel itself. These wheels aren't chrome plated, but the plastic cover is.

I'll let you know if I can find any of those wheels around here.
