Michelin Pilots in winter.
They worked for me around town, but now that I moved further from work I wanted the added security. I also noticed last year I spent some time with a few other members and the more miles you got on the tires the worse they are. Last winter I only had about 8k miles on them. I now have quite a few more miles.
Ditto Musicguy. Stuck on the flat driveway last year in the snow. Also, the spin a lot for me on dry pavement rolling hard accelerations. Put new Nitto NT850 A/S today. Ride home has a lot more traction. Hopefully, they will work better in snow. I believe my Pilots (stock) were summer tires not A/S.
Also, not pushing Nittos; just went with the advice of the tire guy and compared tread, price, ... and chose these.

I just got my HHR SS, and I would not have even attempted running the Michelins in the snow. I didn't get my winters on in time and got caught in an early snow here and it was terrible. I have a a friend with a HHR SS and he has blizzaks and swears by them.
My opinion... they are horrible in any weather condition. The stock SS's tires suck for what these vehicle's were designed for. In warm dry conditions, they just spin and would only hook up around 45mph, with just the turbo upgrade. In snowy conditions, traction was nonexistent. The first mod done on an SS should be better tires, imho.
