Which one???

OK my 09 LS wears 215/55/16. Looking at getting either GY Comforttreds or Bridgestone Turanza Serenity PLus.

The GY out the door after rebate run about $540.
Bridgestone out the door after rebate run $526.

The differ by $14. Which one do you guys like best? MY HHR is driven in rain and some snow. I live in Northern Kentucky, meaning I see a good mix of weather but not to the extremes. At the most maybe 2-3 inches of snow once a winter. Mainly rain and sun.

Is either tire quieter? softer ride?

I don't like bridgestone tires. Remember they built a lot of bad tires several years ago. I think Bridgestone bought out Firestone.

Does your tire shop of choice have "30 day happy customer exchange policy"? no way to really tell if you will like a tire unless you drive on it.

ready for a little trip?

If you don't mind a little trip. to find a tire that I'm very pleased with so far, on both wet and dry roads: Yokohama YK580, try Discount Tire in Miamisburg ,Ohio or Dayton (or Louisville). I priced a set for your perusal (or refusal).http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/car...roductId=43288I have no connection with Discount or Yokohama, but have always liked Discounts service and warranties, and the tire shown here seemed the best for the money when I was looking for replacements for my Affinities. IMHO

My HHR is at the local Cadillac dealer getting Comfortreds installed now. Great price from them along with a 100 off coupon from mycertifiedservice makes a great price. I have a company I deal with that allows me to get paid for allowing the chevy dealer perform my oil change. So oil changes are free and they do the tire rotation at each change makes it good. But I did look at Dayton,Oh and Lexington,Ky tire dealers to see if a better deal could be had. Nothing really beat it for the extra hour of drive and gas.

We just replaced the Bridgestone Turanza's on our 2005 Magnum after 60K+ miles. We were very happy with them but they're no longer available for that car...
