Those have short sidewalls, so be prepared for a harsh ride. What are they, about 24"tall?
Me personally. I'd go for something taller. Close to that 26" tall limit that will fit on a HHR.

As a minimum, I'd run a 225/40 on a 18. You'll get a almost perfect speedo with a 235/40, but a 225/45 or a 245/40 will only be slightly taller.

A 215/35 will be too small IMO.

He doesn't have an SS. The LS and LT's are calibrated for a slightly shorter tire than the SS.

I guess I better get out there and remove these 255x40x18 off my panel then..

LS, LT, SS... they are all the same spring perch height..

I didn't say the won't fit, after all I'm running 245/40's on mine. I'm saying if you want the speedo to be on, for a `16" or 17" swap, a 235/40 18 put's it about dead on.

i want to go 18's ..and ya i was a little skeptical about it being a 35 series, going to be like riding in a hummer lol

so whats a good size to go 18" from my stock 16" and not screw up the speedo readings?
