Question to those with 20"s

For htose running a 225/35R20. How much ride comfort did you give up? Do you feel every bump now, or does the suspension do a good job of compensating for it?

How wide are these 20" rims going to be?? Im guessing like at least 8"?? Why in the hell would you put a 225 tire on there?? You really wanna stretch the tire on a 20" rim?

I have been in the tire business my whole life, I don't need trivia lol. It's an 8.5" wheel and the tire bead to bead is just over 8.5" (225mm = 8.85"). Anyways, I decided to go with a 245/35R20 to get a wider footprint and a little more sidewall for cushion

im running 18X8s and put on a 245/40. 225 for you would have been stretching it and just wouldnt look right. Im glad you stepped up 2 sizes plus you will get a little more sidewall. No trivia here man juss tryin to help out.

Our stock rims are 7.5 and they gave us a 225

I appreciate the help.

I know on my stockers, the tire is at the border-line for being too wide for the wheel. It has a slight curve inward, but not much. It would have been a tight fit, but I think the stretch would have been minimal. I am hoping the 245 will give me a little more comfort. I'll have to try out my HPTuners on the HHR for the first time and adjust the tire size. Maybe change a few other things too

Soon to come! The wheels will hopefully be in Monday or Tuesday and the pictures will be up short after they go on.

Once I recover from this, I plan on getting the Pedder coilovers to set it a little closer to the tires. I also want to upgrade the sway bars

Pedders coils are $$$$. Im sitting on the Stance coilovers. got them for a great price. And as far as the swaybars go i would suggest the Powell hardcore bar.

I want the option of adjustment. Are there any other good adjustable coilovers?

My stances have full dampening adjustment. They are an excellent street coilover. Are you trying to AutoX the car or just have a good ride on the street?
