Selling Tires

Anyone have any tips to sell tires? I'd kind of like to see if I can get any cash out of my Firestone Affinities I have, so I can buy a set for my new 17" wheels. I've been toying around with the idea of selling the tires, or just driving them for another year or two until they need replacing.

I figured I could try listing them on Craigslist... Anyone have any ideas how much they would be worth? They only have 8k miles on them, and are wearing evenly...no curb rash.

Any ideas?

I've seen plenty of tires on clist. A good matched set of 16's ought to fetch about 250...I know they only have 8k on them, but they are still used. That's around where I saw 16's going for around these parts

Ok, thanks! I wasn't expecting to get the retail price for them, but something to offset the cost of 17's would be nice! I was guessing around $200, so I wasn't far off. I tried searching but none came up around Flint....

Finding a full set of tires was real hit and miss. Usually got a lone tire or 3 when someone trashed a wheel. $2-250 should be the range.

Well I'll post them and just see what happens. I won't get my hopes up.

Thanks!

Save a little longer and keep your 16" for winter. Just my opinion.

I'm keeping the wheels....but I have to ask, have you ever driven the stock tires in the snow?

I have driven my HHR with the stock 16" tires the last two winters and never had a problem and it sure saves on the summer wheels.
