The other day I was in a janitorial supply store and picked up a toilet bowl mop to see if I could use it on my wheels. It really works well. It allows me to reach inside of the wheel and behind the spokes. It even fits between the caliper and the wheel so I don't have to roll the car back to get that hard to reach spot.

I have 18" wheels and don't know how it will work on smaller wheels, but at $1.50 it's not a bad mistake.
