I googled - it seems to be 115 / 70r15, this is a motorcycle tire, look in this direction.
Pay attention to the tire's ability to withstand the pressure that the GM prescribed for donuts (can be seen on the door jamb tag).
If a motorcycle tire is really what you're looking for, then it's easy. Any tire shop will make your spare tire from an old rim and a new motorcycle tire.
They are designed for the DRIVER to replace on the side of the road until they get to a repair facility. It is for EMERGENCY USE ONLY.
There is absolutely NO reason a shop would install any donut spare on a car, they sell tires and repair them, you might even have trouble convincing AAA to do it. If you can't afford the repair/new tire, too bad that's your problem.
When the tires you have on your car have to be ordered from out of state and won't be in until tomorrow,
what choice do you have.
I only needed to get the car back home for the night so that I could come back when they had the tire mounted and ready to install.
I did end up changing the tire in their parking lot.
The statement of thinking that I can't afford a new tire is awfully presumptuous.
More of a statement to general public than directed at you personally.
This needs to be said once in a while. It’s a forum. By definition, not a private conversation. And it’s for the archives. Comments are properly aimed not just at the immediate participants, but also at non-participating “listeners” and those who might refer to it later.
My pet peeve is when OP’s complain about comments not directly related to their immediate needs, apparently disinterested in the mutual benefit a forum provides.
