Time for Tires Again!

Well it's that time again...sucks to say that I've only put on maybe 18k miles on my BFG Sport Comp 2's. I loved them for the first three months then I realized how bad they were in the rain and cold. It's definitely a track tire.

I'm changing directions all-together with my tires...going back to my stock size and looking for comfort and reliability. I'm getting ready to install my coilovers and I'm going to need something with a little more meat than my 235/45r17s that I'm running now. I was even thinking about running a 225/50but I'm going to need to stretch a little with my drop so I'm thinking the stock size will be the best option. I'm leaning toward Cooper CS4s since we have them on our Scion and have really enjoyed them. I've also thought about the Continentals ExtremeContacts. Just looking for some feedback I guess...I went out a limb last time and only got 14 months out of my tires...I'd like to get 3 years 40k miles plus!

Funny I have a set of those comp2 and they wont wear out, took them to autocross on the SS and running them on the panel...they ride like a rock...

These on the other hand I love sweet ride and great all season traction, they have 45k warranty if that means anything.

Guess I should have mentioned I'm wanting to spend around $130-140 a tire. I do like Michelin's but they are a bit pricey.

Negotiation ....I paid 450.00 out the door at Discount tire...........

Only paid 250.00 for the BFG, they were siped that might be why they are wearing so well.

They were discounting the pilot sport 2, and the G-max03 both great tires.

We love our continental extreme contact dws that are on the corvette. The hubby gets to and from work in bumper high snow with those.

He had dw none s version on a supercharged svt focus worked great on that too.

I'm leaning toward those...have heard nothing but good things posted about them over the past few years.

I have Eagle GT's on my Panel and love them. The wear is great and the ride is good too. Have had them on for over a year and they still look brand new.
