Tirerack

UPS has some new wheels for me today on one of their trucks. I don’t have rubber for them yet, but I'll post up pics later. Then they're going to the powder coaters. Oh yea, I went with a 19x8.5 Moda MD5 with a 55mm offset. Tirerack had them for 39$ a piece. Can anyone who has done the Solstice / Sky wheel swap chime in on how thick of a spacer you used?

Thanks, Mike

I think they used a 3/8".

holy **** thats some crazy offset. did they recommend a tire size for you???

I was so tempted to buy them back when they were $49 a piece, I forget what size people had said to use. Good choice in wheels. :)

Jesh thats a killer deal. If you could swing the cost of rubber heck you could run around with a full sized spare.

A 245/35/19 is 25.8". The conti DWS are 22lbs,whereas most of the other brands are running around 26lbs.

Lighter is a bonus, long as it's not mostly out of the sidewalls..

That's a sweet deal on the rims.. Be nice if the tires would be about the same.. LOL

I used 7mm spacers on my 2LT when I put the Solstice wheels on it. I also bought a set of the Extended Tip lug nuts just to make sure I had enough thread from the wheel studs to hold them bad boys on,lol.

So noted, Thank you. How wide were your Solstice wheels?

Sadly, the wheels are a couple lbs. heavier than the stockers. Centerline has some affordable 19" wheels (270$) that are only 18lbs., but it's only 7.5" wide, and the that''s not a recommended width for the 245. I'd love to run a 285/30 on the rears, but narrowest recommended wheel for that is 9.5"

Lookie at what Mr. UPS man left me.

I also got my Rial Nogaros 19'' from tirerack.com today, delivered by UPS. They're still in the box, but I will unpack them tonight. :D:D:D
