wheel pics coming

I just purchase some wheels and took them to a local shop to have them put on. The guy told me he was unable to put on the lugs/ locks that came with them because it was a tight fit. He was able to put on the old lugs. After I did some research on the web, went out and tried to remove the lugs with a standard lug wrench which was a no go. Did not even fit. Then I used a 3/4 socket and it fit. I removed one of the lugs and put one of the new one on. I am not sure if the guy was just using a standard socket and should have tried a thinner/longer socket...Maybe its lack of experience..

Went out to the garage and took a quick pic.

bigjoe-

Sounds like he may have been using an 'impact socket' which (as we know) are extra thick wall.

When he should have used a regular deep-well socket & a Torque wrench..

Torquing in even increments in a star pattern from ie: 25/50/75 & finally 100ft lbs.

Sharp looking Rim !!!! What size rims are they ?

Most wheels now require tuner lugs.

Good that it worked out...

17" NEW Rims look Hot on your ride..Nice up-grade !!

I see you have been busy w/pinstriping, & Buick style hood port-holes, block letters on grill top, bug shield, windshield strip & etc......Cool..

I am just biased towards White HHRs', White just looks so sharp !!!

I agree...Only hate it when the weather is bad or even a fender bender!
