Thanks everyone Ill be posting pics as progress is made. I live in glencoe ky, and i crashed 9-7-06. It was raining very hard that day. The bad thing is i missed the first semi, and when i got away from the 1st one there was no where to go and not enough room to stop, untill i slammed the tanker beside it. If i went to the left of the first truck i would have most likely flipped in the grass or slung shot into oncoming traffic. But like i said the hhr is one tuff customer. I hit so hard that the impact caused the rear to come up and land into the guard rail. Only thing that happend to me was some burning on my left arm, and scratches on my right from the debris of the steering wheel coming apart. I love my hhr and it destoyed me to see it in this shape. But i look at it like its a phoneix that soon to arise from its bent fenders and fly again(cheesy huh). Oh well, thanks again for everyones replys John

Sorry about your mishap, glad you`re ok, obviously You had on your seat belt, slight injuries... When I first saw the pics, I couldn`t understand how all the damage happened to the rear, good explaination...
Looking at the pics, gives a good opportunity to see some of the body We know exist, but only want to keep nice and shiney.
If more people realized that this is still (only) a veh. and not the END-ALL, We`d all be better off.

Too bad about your HHR. It's something I have always worried about on the highway. Glad you are AOK. Another HHR did it's job!

Now...cut the chat and let's see that thing rebuilt!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad to know you're ok. Good luck rebuilding it. Gotta love trucks in the rain. Soo much wake turbulence comes off them especially in the rain that it makes the visibility near 0

Sorry, but nice to be able to rebuild. Had ours three weeks and then in the shop three weeks for hail damage. It was a chance for an cheaper flame job on the hood. Try some 59 caddy tail lights sunk in there.
