First time from a dig the speed wagon vs. 91 camaro

Last night my buddy brought out his 91 camaro rs the interior is completely stripped it has a freshly rebuilt 305(stock) 4 barrel holley carb long tube headers 4.11 gears hurst short throw msd ignition and skinnys up front with drag radials in the back. Im just running the stock hhr ss (The speed wagon)lol
We were leaving work and headed to the gym on the way out he asked if I wanted to run I smiled and sure why not. We drove about 10 miles to let the tires and car warm up. There is a hwy on the way to the gym that has about a 10 mile stretch that is pretty much straight, as soon as we hit the straight stretched he moved over to the other lane and we both stopped side by side the first race he left me in the dust because honestly I had no clue what I was doing when it comes to racing from a dig but as soon as I hit 3rd I caught up pretty quick and pulled on him. We must of raced 8 times and by the 3rd race I had the launch control pretty much figured out and found that launching from 3000rpms kept me side by side with him on the start and again when I hit 3rd I saw nothing but head lights. I was pretty proud of my little 4cyl and the look on my buddies face when we got to the gym was priceless. He swore up and down that there was no way my car was stock.

I love these cars, nobody expects them to be quick at all... I can't wait to get the stg 1 kit installed

Jac432 no kidding! I laid down in front of a early 2000's silverado, to no contest. However when I got in the gas station just up the street, he pulled in after.
I walked up to him and said he had a nice ride(see my thread "coolest car you saw today") and he said" yours is pretty nice too. Whatcha got under the hood? A turbo or a wet kit?" Told him" nope, just a Stock 2.2 and a 5 speed." He said" man, that sucker took off, I thought for sure you did. Nice driving"

=D

When I make full on Police, my brethren will get the look turned the other way, or if laying down against someone, the opponent should it not be another HHR will be taken down. >=)

Sounds like you plan to take unfair advantage of your status as a police officer then.....
