HHR Vs. 93 Mustang LX 5.0

Do you guys think that my 08 hhr ls 2.2/5spd would even stand a chance against a 93 stang lx 5.0 5 speed. My friend was talking about how gay my car is and i told him that we would line them up sometime. Ive never been very impressed with 5.0's when their stock as is his. Its got over 100k on it. Im pretty sure the stang is heavier and i read somewhere they only put like 205hp out stock. Im just wondering if there is any way in h##l i would keep up with it. I made the mistake of letting my mouth run before i thought it through. Thanks!

lol...don't do it for $$$

They don't dyno a ton but there pretty damm light.

A couple years back I put together a 90 5spd notchback 5.0

The car had 118K miles

I took out the back seat,added a k&N Filter/magnaflow catback. Car wen't 13.7 on drag radials.

I also added a NOS dry kit jetted for 100 at the wheels (125hp) and the thing wen't 12.1 at 114 mph.

great drag car....Sorry I sold it

ill just do it for a laugh and maybe a miracle will happen. Its bone stock with the exception of 17" cobra rims. All interior is intact. I guess all i can do is hope. I figured my best chance would be from 20-on or maybe a dig. But definately not starting at highway speeds.

I have taken the family van to the track for fun

Win or loose its still a good time. If you can get your laun ch down and he panics and blows the tires off you should give him a run until he shifts to 3rd

205 is what ford published to keep insurance rates lower. they have closer to 300bhp from the factory. I think you might get spanked, but you will look so much cooler in your hhr. do it for fun.
