SS vs. BMW M6 V10

Ok. So my wife and I are sitting at a stop light near Pensacola NAS. This low-slung BMW pulls up next to us, and starts reving away. My wife was in the mood so when the light turned green, we both went. Now at the time I did not know it was a M series with a V-10, until after he smoked my ass, but it sure was close at the beginning! I was actually almost a car length ahead when he really dropped the hammer. We were pulling on him till about 70-80 mph, then forget it, we were in his dust! On the plus note when we got to the next light the guy couldn't believe a 4-banger gave him a little run for his money! He was a NAVY Commander, and was very impressed. (I think he was humoring us)

Normally I would'nt post a loss, but considering he had at least 250 more HP. I'm proud of this one!

Those M6s are pretty nice. I went up against one at the track last year and had him through the 1/8(mostly because he was sleeping at the light) but he went flying by me before the 1/4. No shame in that loss.

Lol, I just found that he posted the same run on Youtube, as well. I love how they say that I am HEAVILY modded in the comments. I guess a tune and catback exhaust is HEAVILY modded.

How come you don't have the 13.77 you turned in your signature? That's a pretty respectable number for our little cars.

Once you get over 70mph the old saying takes over...

"there's no replacement for displacement"

Our HHRSS are good from light to light but once those bigger motors getting rolling, we're done.

That's just my best time stock.

Here's my best run in the 1/4, so far.

Very respectable run man

You know you run a good race, when someone has to go tell people you were heavily modded to save face

By the way I've watched alot of your vids (didn't know it was you Dr Jekyll), your wife/girlfriend is a very supportive cheerleader in the stands

Lol, my wife and oldest daughter do the video taping and they might be good cheerleaders but they sure as heck suck at videography. I was jealous as all get out when I watched his version of our run compared to my kid's.
