Warning, graphic Damge to an HHR!

Caught with cell phone camera.

15 fwy @138 CA (@ truck scales)

..... in nearly the same area of this SUV fire last week.... (on right side of freeway),
4-5-07

this next image was at the center divider.....
There were allot of traffic 'issues' on the 15 N in Cajon pass area today.
I suspect this HHR was going very slow or stopped due to the current traffic conditions ahead and was rear ended at full speed....

The truck that hit the HHR was on the right side of the highway after this collision. I didn't see the damage to the truck because I was focused on the HHR.

I was relieved when I saw that the folks in the HHR seemed ok as the passenger is seen talking with the CHP and the driver was sitting in the drivers seat gathering papers from the glove box. They didn't appear to have needed medical attention.

What kind of car are you in ? The HHR doesn`t have grab handles on the "A pillar".

Enterprise Van Pool vehicle.
I don't get to drive my HHR until the weekend. Which is fine, I much rather put the miles on the van pool short bus! 166 miles each day!

Oh yeah, both those pictures were taken from the rent-a-short-bus!

Flashbacks ...

(cut to DC lapsing into convulsions)

Seriously, though, the HHR is quite crash-worthy for how well it defends the precious human cargo inside.

Ya that is a dangerous road. The speeds are high and the stopping distance is looooong. Steep grades are fun to drive but dangerous. I am going to be on that road Monday so I need to remember this picture. Thanks Sindy

See ya down the road
