Use the 3/8 or 10 mm tool, put it on the fuel line, slide it up into the coupler, push the couple down to unlock the prongs , then push the tool up until it stops and the pull up the fuel hose fitting . Be gentle and patient

The paint job went south, a couple of fish eyes and well it was only 35 degrees when I went ahead and painted the cover, and I skipped the primer, next spring I’ll respray it.
