Our HHR 4T45E axle nut is a 30 mm I searched Detroit axle site most are out of stock, non are listed as don’t require the stub shaft. I have that axle here for the hhr

I suggest you pop it out, clean the foam off and reinstall it with some silicone grease around the opening to allow easier installation and some water protection
