When we bought our '06 a few years back we paid for the carfax print out. IIRC it cost us real close to $100.00 to get it.
Once we had this expensive piece of paper we realized how totally worthless it was. There was one recorded dealer oil change on it {about 6 months after the car was bought} and NOTHING else.
The previous owner did have a small three ring binder in the glove compartment that had all the dates and prices and a lot of receipts for other things they had done to the car. Even things that are dealer things that probably should have been on the carfax thing.
Also FWIW I do almost all my own mechanic work here too. I can't do alignments anymore {do not have an alignment rack anymore} and when the engine needed to be replaced I had to hire that done because I lack those tools too.
I can change tires {remove them from the wheel and put another on the wheel} when I have to but its much easier to take them to a shop. I still have a bubble balancer out in the garage but again its easer to bring them to a shop when I need to.

For the most part, what you mentioned isn't "bad" for a car with 81K on the clock. Misfire is pretty basic, either coils, plugs, or control module. All an easy fix. Bottle empty, what did the radiator level look like? Did the coolant look normal?
