Maybe I missed something but why not just a hard plastic plug ?

Plastic would be alright, not sure if it could be sufficiently tightened without it stripping or shearing. I ordered some aluminum plugs and an aluminum barb fitting from Summit. Pricey, but peace of mind. I want the set screw style plug to insure that the 2 fittings don't interfere with one another, they're pretty close together.

Off the subject RJ,, How are the beagles doing?? I see from your sign. you have a couple.I was thinking of getting a dog for my walking partner, wifey not going out with me as much anymore.............

The Beagles are a joy, so loving and gentle! As walking partners, it doesn't matter how fast I walk, the girl wants to go just a little bit faster. The ole boy would be happy if we stopped every 10' so he could sniff and pee, but he keeps up with us just fine. And if we see or smell a squirrel, it's quite a spectacle!
