Grab the top of the console cover in the rear and pull up. I grabbed mine by getting my thumbs in the rear cup holder and my fingers on the edge where there is a seam, then straight up. It was still attached up toward the e- brake but at least I could see the back of the outlet and the wires going to it. I know I read a thread (post) one time when someone did that, they found there wasn't even any wires to go to the outlet.

I too simply pried up the top of the console...it pops up really easily...and you have easy access to the 12V power plug.

I noticed on mine that there is a main feed to it, and a smaller, seperate blue wire that trails off it as well.

you can see the power cord in this image...it loops behind the missing console, and the plug is just laying there. The wire extends down the passenger side of the tunnel, and in to the main harness that leads in to the module that is directly under where the parking brake sits...

perhaps there is a problem in that module?

Did you check the actual wires to see if they are getting 12v + and -? That would be a good place to start.

Have you tried a volt meter from the fuse box? Check for open or short to ground wires using an Ohm meter.

Well...it's definately not plugged in. Now you need to search for the missing plug and wires.
