Anybody run the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires? The 245/40's run $238.00 a piece and I found two local for a couple hundred bucks.

Just installed nitto neogens 245 40 18's. They look great and hook up ALOT better than than stockers. Little noisy for first hundred miles. Havent had them in the rain yet. My superchips module tells me I'm running 5.2-5.3 0-60 consistant with the traction control on and no launch mode.

2008 Black HHR SS Auto. Superchips tune & K&N drop in filter.

Well I just pulled the trigger on some Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus 245/40 18's. I will report on how they are once I get them installed.

How do you like the 555's. It was a toss up between the the neogens and the 555's. I put the neogens on thinking they would perform better in the rain.

I have been very pleased with the great mix of quiet, performance, and especially snow traction this winter. There may be better performance choices, but the Contis seemed to be the best all around tire for my SS. They've already gotten me through 36 inches of snow so far this winter.
I have to second this. I went from the stock 225/45-18's and stock wheels to 225/55-16 Conti DWS and Wheel Vintiques Smoothies last week. Big improvement in ride and noise. Just a bit less crisp on turn-in (probably due to the taller sidewalls). haven't had another snow here in Denver, but almost looking forward to it to see how they do. Oh, and I am convinced these out-brake the stock Michelins.
