water leak fixed????

I just picked up my car from the dealer after it being there for 9 days. I have had a water leak on the drivers side. This is the third time I have had it in. This time they replaced a couple of gaskets/seals? around where the steering column comes thru the firewall. I hope they got it this time, I'm getting a little discouraged.

When I asked for a receipt, they told me it wasn't being done under warranty. They said they already put in for a leak under the warranty and this time they were going to have to eat it. My thought is that GM doesn't want to admit that there is a problem with leaks on some HHRs

Really iit is just the opposite. GM knows and deals with the leaks. It's the dealers who can't effectively find them.

By the way, get some paperwork from the dealer regarding this AND ANY repair (makings sure they address how they attempted the repair). How are you going to prove, down the line, that your dealer could not fix the leak

I thought this was a known issue and was related either one of two ways.

Either the seal on the wires going thru the door jam

or

the drain on the moon roof becoming clogged

???
