Anyone run into intermittant P0302 Miss Cylinder 2?
At about 29k miles or so vehicle experienced CEL found P0302 code stored but not current. Really unable to read live data as I need an additional item in order to communicate properly with the PCM. Any ideas. Plan right now is to swap out spark plugs. Happened after taking to dealer to diagnose an extended crank issue. 2010 HHR SS automatic with GM stage one kit dealer installed.

If it is only stored, not active (no CEL) don't worry about it, just transient.
There is about 100 different things that could cause the misfire code. Having extra stuff installed adds to the list, dealer installed or not.

Key cycles caused it to clear, but it returned and the CEL light is illuminated. While there, remote start is disabled. Using a Crapon reader misfires are not current, but the light remains on. I cannot feel any misfire. Therefore my reasoning for changing the plugs. Car went ~29 k without issue. I actually suspect poor workmanship by the dealer tech when trying to diagnose hot soak extended crank as no issues prior to them touching engine.
Just looking to see if any others have had issue. BTW, I'm not one to dismiss like you suggest as it has reset the light twice not. When I can get some coin to go that way I'll buy a Chinese copy of the Candi module to watch misfire table after I check connections and inspect/replace the plugs.

If you want to see if others have had a similar problem, use the SEARCH tool at the top of the page and look for P0302.
There are several posts covering the problem - with details on the various causes and fixes (from spark plugs, fuel injectors, and heads needing replacement etc.).
