They have done several now.
+1. Edit: Crateenginedepot is at Rochenbach chevy. Bought my kit from there and had it installed there. Worth the 90 min drive for me :)

I bought mine through Crate Engine Depot for $550 as well, they had it here in 3 days. And I only paid $75 for the install at my local dealer (Liberty Chevrolet in Richlands NC). Both places provide exceptional service.

Ok, how come I can buy this from GMPartsDirect but my Dealer is telling me it is not for sale yet because it is awaiting EPA approval. Anyone have any advice on how I can get my dealer to order this blasted thing. I am getting the run around here me thinks.

If you have a 09 you either have to wait until they get the right part number for the 09s or you have to order it from GMPD or CED and wait anyways! Either way they won't be able to install it on 09s until they get the 09 numbers and flash.

Nope I have a 2008 bought last May. Do you think that is where the confusion is? I even gave my dealer the part number of 19212670 which the service manager looked up and confirmed as correct. I don't mean to be impatient but I keep reading of others having it installed already and some direct from the dealers. I much rather go through my dealer because I can get the GM employee discount that way as I get that on when I buy new cars from them and on parts.

The part # is correct for all years. The tune is different. Maybe they are telling you that b/c it is currently on back order. it is already approved for the 08s though.

Well thats what I need to figure out for them. Do you think printing out this would help them figure it out?

http://tunersource.gmblogs.com/blog/...structions.pdf

This is the instructions for the install and it gives a part number to the tune of 12625956 as the tune for the HHR SS with the Auto Trans. I think I will print this out for them and bring it to them as I have an appointment to have the vacuum pump installed for the brake fix.

Backorder is an understatement, just got word from my dealership (in Canada anyway) that the parts not expected to ship till April 2nd. Ive waited a month already so whats another...

On the upside I could switch back to my summers then and not roast off my winter tires.
