IMO labor should be a set amount. I mean, when I get my kit and take it in to the dealer to get it installed, if they tried to tell me it took them 5hrs instead of the 2 I intended (or had funds available!) to pay for, I would be up **** creek. Seems to me they can easily screw you over on labor, especially if they are trying to make an extra buck off of you since you got the kit somewhere else and that is the only $$$ they are making.

I just ordered my kit and I am pretty pumped to get it. I called the local dealer to ask how much for the install. After quite a long time on hold she said $850. Needless to say I was shocked and said it only take a couple of hours, well then she caught on that I already had the parts and said oh, $150. I think that is far.

Should have the parts next week so I will try and post a review.

I agree.

For mine, my install is $150 (internal labor charges for 2 hrs). Kits run like $650 or something.

Just ordered my kit today from GM CrateEngine Depot and with any luck it will arrive in time to be installed when my car is delivered at Courtesy Chevrolet in San Jose. Their install quote was $150 - 2 hours labor.

Kit install in NJ

So, has anybody have their kit installed in New Jersey yet?

I'm thinking about getting the kit and having it installed at a dealer where they have put the upgrade before.

All back order will ship in the next 5-7 days and will be on their ways to the dealer soon after.
