Another Exhaust question

Is anyone running a catless DP no resonator no muffler? Just curious about this setup. Pros and cons? besides noise level. thanks.

Shooting flames and popping.....sign back pressure is needed usually

........unless you are turbo charged, then the popping and flames are normally unspent fuel burning up post combustion. A turbo itself provides more than adequate back pressure.

Actually it still applies to forced induction... Stock turbo in no way creates enough back pressure for a straight race pipe setup

I gained low to mid power adding cat back to my system

Now if you run the 256 or something I'd say go catless

Could it hurt the motor in anyway with this setup? Can someone describe the benefit of having back pressure?

i don't care who tells you what,TURBO CARS DO NOT NEED BACK PRESSURE!!! IT IS RESTRICTION!!! NA VEHICLES NEED BACK PRESSURE!! the bigger the and more free flowing the better. for our ko4 turbo,3inch from turbo back is perfect. has far as running open (no exhaust)it will be loud and sound like crap. it won't hurt the motor and you will see boost come on quicker and hold better. why??? NO RESTRICTIVE CATS!!! the quicker the exhaust is expelled the better.
