I thought it was maybe a reference to "Breaking Bad".

I have never have seen anything go wrong but I have never seen anything improve that much either.

I take it back I saw a kit like this years ago when they were called water injection, I was on a 1979 Trans Am that had a Turbo kit bolted on. That car broke a crank which was kit related. But I noticed the bottle was almost always empty. The owner lost interest in the bottle and just never filled it.
I'm assuming he was using it as additional fuel and when it ran empty it went lean????? I just want to use it for cooling purposes. The GN and Turbo TA guys have been using it for years and alot of them swear by it.

I have the Devilsown kit on my GTO, and it's excellent. I run a 50/50 mix with some Uplon as a lubricant/anti corrosion. With a turbo, you definitely would want to use the progressive controller triggered from a MAP sensor.

We've got one on a C5 with a 2.3 Magnuson, world of difference, ours is tuned to use it for power to a certain extent, not reliant upon it but enough that if it isn't hooked up we lose 4/10ths on a 9sec. car

Most V8s can see between 40 and 60 HP when combined with a power adder.

You need the ability to tune various aspects of the methanol injection and timing curve to take full advantage.

I'd bet you could see any easy 20HP on the 2.0 if you tuned it correctly.

Water absorbs a lot of heat in order to turn to steam. The methanol raises the octane. Some refer to meth injection as a 'Liquid Intercooler.'

I use a Snow Stage II kit on my blown V8 Ranger.

Thanks guys, all good stuff to know. I can pick up an AEM setup pretty cheap so I might try to get it this weekend we'll see.

I suggest alkycontrol.com. I have had it on my turbo GTO for 3 years. Not the cheapest but its worth it.

So, is methanol readily available at any auto parts store?
