You guys have kits........ Back in the 70's we used windshield washer pumps, tubing, and a catch tank.

winter washer fluid is about a 50/50 mix. I know a couple guys that sware by devils own, one is a skittle pushing about 650whp and tq... of course his is stand alone meth with direct port and a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous as well lol. if your just looking to cool the iat2, tap after the ic before the tmap so the engine sees the lower temps. should be able to run 22* timing on a 50/50 mix on the lnf. I have a kit that's been sitting. I plan on installing it when I do the stage sensors and a catless downpipe. I can run 17* timing on my stock with tune hhr, depending on the gas station I fill up at that is.

Washer fluid as about a 20-25% mix

Snow's controller is pretty crude.

No. Unless you buy little bottles of HEET, and it's expensive like that. Places that cater to go cart and motorcycle racing sometimes have it. Since I use a 50/50 mix, I just buy the Snow Boost Cooler from Summit in a 4 gallon case.

Windshield washer fluid methanol content depends on the temp rating. The "typical" -20*F is near 30%. You do NOT want to use the ones with detergents or additives, just water and meth, usually the blue color.

For you turbo guys, a progressive controller is best. Most of them are actually the same unit with a different sticker.

AIS (Alcohol Injection Systems) has been good for a number of us in my area to deal with.

The cheapest mix is buying the methanol and mixing your own with distilled water. Check your local racing sources. I buy VP Racing Fuels M1 from a local dealer in 5 gal. cans and get the distilled water at the local grocery or drug store.

It's helped a lot for power due to being able to get better ignition timing with my higher static compression and 13# boost. Not really sure how well it will help with you turbo guys, but I've found that the tune needs to be tweaked to deal with it and get any gains.

Good luck and have fun!!

something else to think about is CO2 cooling for the IC. This can be very effective in cooling your intake temps, and avoiding heat soak..... thus more repeatable power. And if you run out of CO2, your car isn't going to lose a ton of power because you ran out of 50/50 mix. With a Meth System, you need a tune... CO2 you don't, but you can tune for the cooler temps. Oh Yeah, you can get a bottle filled locally.

The other cool thing is you can add a purge kit! that alone will deter many, many red light meetings!

I think this will be the route I will go for my next "upgrade" without sending something through the motor.

I was thinking about the possibility of just using the methanol system at the track...loading the appropriate tune just for the track and reverting back to my street tune after running.

No prob, just offering up an alternative... I think he has been banned from the site, but you may be able to dig up XXL's old posts on a Meth Kit. As I recall, he was running everything from his windsheild wiper resivor.
