Been wondering has anyone used a cutout on our stoke pipes? Something like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-16250. Are these good for our cars?

After listening to as much as I could find online I think I like the Hahn sound best for the SS. The Magnaflow doesn't sound bad, though.

I am hesitant to change from the stock exhaust because it is hard to find a good aftermarket sound from a 4-banger or a V-6. But I think the Hahn actually sounds pretty nice.

It is in the plans for later this year.. :)

I just bought a cat-back magnaflow system for $525 shipped, thought that's was a pretty good deal. Going to buy a hahn catless down pipe to go along with it.

I'm in LA also.

I had two small magnaflows put on by Sport Muffler on Lincoln Blvd and duals.

Sounds good and deep and a little loud but not where you can't carry on a conversation.

In warm up mode, like others say it's loud so it heats up the cat, but the front end sound while it warms up sounds like an old tractor, though that has nothing to do with the mufflers or exhaust.

BTW; has anyone tried a hood liner to held quiet down the front end clatter?

Thx.

..and lose turbo sound? Hoodliner wont clear, I believe is the popular consensus why it was never installed, though there's thought the heat containment is the reason, either way, the factory had their reason for leaving it off.
