Don't giggle too much. There are kits for doing just that. They actually run cooling tubes into your intake. Forget the company name, they are out of Florida and put them on a ton of fleet trucks and cars. Although ypu probably lose more than you gain with the AC on.


Will someone find a camera scope, and runthat thing through the airbox to the fender. So we can bury the horse once and for all. There has to be a plumber among us.

More fresh/cold air can be introduced into that area where the factory airbox connects to fender. Easily achievable. If you push 70 degree air through the turbo and it comes out of the turbo @ 100 degrees, do you all really think that 60 degree air going through the turbo will still come out at 100 degrees given the same variables?

One thing to remember is that the air that is being pulled in when at wot or any harder driving has TOO little time in the engine bay to really add much heat. Now when sitting idle and then jumping on there might be a little bit of difference. But that turbo will be pulling so much air in that it will not have much time to be heated up after that.

Sit it over the turbo/exhaust mani now that might give you some heat issues.
