Batman is getting cold air from a scoop, GCSD had one made and then had an upright frame member cut to help draw air.... My point wasn't to cause a pissing match it was to once and for all point out that the tube coming out of the airbox is going to the fender well.....ya know outside the engine bay...... where cold air comes from...... ya ever stop to think that, that might be the reason we have been twiddling our thumbs for two years, added to the fact that small numbers means costly tool up. I mean good god, even the K&N set-up is a stubby tube, a taller lid, and filter...... and with amount of crap K&N makes if they didn't bring one to market no-one will.
Hey bro , I'm just saying , You can snake and sneak air from fenders and fog light openings, but your still cheating true cold air because of the friction factor. = heat.

Ram the true cold air down the intakes throat. IMO

how many SS' are geting 18 psi with no mods, None.

i was hitting 15 max prior to the ram setup.

once i get a street tune and exhaust , i think it will beat 99% of ss' that are packed with funds.

no pissing match here bro, just voiceing an opinon.
And most opinions don't mean sh-t.

Well I'm not interested in a crazy intake and tune. Just something that breathes and flows better. If K&N is it, than that sure makes life a bit easier...

You realize that the reason for a IC is to cool down the intake temps right? Even cobalts with the shortram have dropped some on their IAT1s. The IC is the only thing that should matter for the IAT2 temps, getting ambient air into the turbo isnt going to matter much after the turbo. You need to speak with some people with extensive turbo experiance.

The K&N definetly does not bring in cool air!

I stand corrected, Some may be boosting that high, I was seeing 12-15 max prior to cutting up the hood.

O.K. Batman: I'm about to test your theory. Real soon I'm putting on a way bigger hood scoop[from Maier racing-same as present one] and it will be functional, with a bigger hole than you got[read: Mine's BIGGER]. Will run a test with my switchable Trifecta tune in both modes and we'll find out if it helps any. Stay tuned. "Moon"
P.S. and oh bye the way, make that 97%.
Footnote to Batman: Is it ture that you hang upside down and **** on the floor? [I tease because I care].
