did you get a new IC? what all have you done to your SS?

I put Australian sheep skins on the front seats today kinda cushy. Yes I put in a Crazy Steves intercooler in, twice the area and no plastic. Painted the flaps last week, put another set of new tires on the week before that, I like them very sticky, took off a set of pedders the week before that, put them in the week before that, went too low. Like I said once you start the list goes on and on. It started with a stubby antenna, Ha Ha.

was there anything else wrong with the pedders springs?? i was thinking about that in the next couple of years. what is the upside to changing the intercooler? can i just change the IC piping without changing the IC? where did you get your stubby? i want to do that too haha

Stubby antena .com Yes lots of SS owners have done only the charge hot side but I saw the pictures of the blown out plastic end caps so I changed it. I didn't like the bounce either, the stock F5's are tuned to handle any thing you can throw at them. I hate the gap over the tires but 19x8's are on my list so I'll try to reduce it that way next time.

yes it made my car go from 22 to 26 mpg and run stronger, when I first ran it it boosted 26 from 2600 rpm on up wow but the next time i started it it learned it back. I haven't got it tuned yet but thats when I'll realize the most gain. IC http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/p...1a9d9152e3c1b1 and dejon piping

I bought them from folks who posted them up on the site here.

ChevyGuySS- I have a K&N aircharge pipe kit for sell in the classified section on this site. It's a nice kit and is only 3 months old. This kit will not void your warranty, if you still have one. I'm asking $130 for the kit. You can see pictures of the kit at: http://nwga.craigslist.org/pts/2411294570.html.

The next morning I was gonna drive it straight to the dealer...happened on a Sunday...car would not idle....air/fuel trims were totally screwed up so I had it towed to the dealer and they ordered and installed a new pipe.

The stock piping is prone to cracking/breaking under the harsher conditions that the increased boost pressures give. The stock intercooler also has plastic endcaps which are subject to the same. Both will get the job done and many choose for something to go wrong before they replace them. I ran my stock ones for a long time.

i might do that, i dont need a tune for that do i? its a lot cheaper than i thought it was going to be, im really new to turbocharged engines, what is the advantage to upgrading the IC? wow, that is a really good increase, what kind of increase do you think i would be looking at if i was bone stock and i would put that on mine?
