At the dealer getting the upgrade kit!
You know it's a tradition to floor it on your way out of the dealership, the best surprised look, will be the one on your face.
I suggest you use your smart phone to locate the nearest Discount Tire, and point it that direction as you do, said burn out, have fun shopping for tires that will hold it.
So a quick question bout it, Is it true only GM can do the upgrade and still keep warrenty? I mean, warrenty work can be done at other shops... If its GM parts I dont see why only a GM dealership can. Its like 680$ they quoted me, and on top of that, said they dont make a stage one kit for the 08, only 09+.. but yet on gms website, they have one 0.o
So please tell me, that you can go else where as long as its GM parts!!

For the warranty to remain with the turbo upgrade, it must be done at a GM dealer. They have to reflash the computer, and in doing so it gets "registered" through GM.
That $680 is,I believe, the price for just the kit,not counting the installation. I saw that same price at 4-5 dealers in their performance parts book.
It's cheaper to get the kit elsewhere, then have a dealer do the install. Usually 1-2 hrs labor charge. If you do get the kit,it's best to also get the plug-in harness' also. That way, they won't have to hack into and splice the wiring.
